Configuring a Proxy User

Scroll down to the list of proxy users on the service dashboard and click on the "Configure" icon next to the proxy user that you would like to configure.

Clicking on the "Configure" icon will open up a pop-up box for that paritcular proxy user.

Note: After selecting the country, it is recommended to use ISP (not a particular state or a city) with a proxy user and sticky IPs with the session time of 30 minutes for creating/managing business accounts.

  1. You can mention a friendly name to the proxy user for you to easily identify the user among the list of available users.
  2. You can select a country from the list and you will get the IPs from that particular country only.
  3. After selecting the country, you have an option to select an ISP or a paritcular city. If you are using the proxy service for creating/managing business accounts, it is recommend to use ISP and not the state/city.
  4. Based upon your selection in #3, you will see a list of avaiable ISPs or the cities. However, it is optional if you would like to select an ISP or the city. If you select the option labeled as "No Selection" from the dropdown, you will get random IPs from the country that you have selected.
  5. Here, you can set the data limit of the user you are editing. You just need to enter the new data limit into the text box and click on "Submit". If you have increased the number, the same amount of data will be deducted from your primary user. If you have reduced the number i.e. lowered the data limit than your previous settings, the additional data will be added to your primary user.
  6. Here, you can select the checkbox if you want sticky IPs. If you check mark this option, you will have the same IP for the mentioned time. The maximum time you can hold a particular IP address is 30 minutes and then the IP will change automatically. If you are using these proxies for creating/managing business accounts, it is recommend to have the stick IP option check marked and the ideal time is 30 minutes.

Selectig a Particular State/City

Scroll down to the list of proxy users on the service dashboard and click on the "Configure" icon next to the proxy user that you would like to configure.

Clicking on the "Configure" icon will open up a pop-up box for that paritcular proxy user. You can select the radio button labeled as "Location" after selecting the country as represented by #1 in the screenshot below.

The state option represented by #2 is only avaiable for United Sates of America. If you select any other country, you will see a list of avaiable cities represented as #3 in the screenshot.
