How To Check VPN Connection Logs In Viscosity, Pritunl & OpenVPN [IPBurger]

In case if you face any issues with connection and if requested by the support team to give the connection logs, you can follow this guide to check the logs

1. How to check VPN connection logs in Viscosity

Click on the Viscosity icon in your system tray at the bottom left corner as shown. Click on the IP profile with which you are facing issues.

While the IP is connecting, click on 'Preferences'.

This will open up Viscosity software. Now, right click on the IP profile and click on 'Connection log'

This will open up the details window, where you can check the logs. Select all the logs and copy them. Paste it while you reply to the ticket.

 

2. How to check VPN connection logs in Pritunl?

Open the Pritunl software and click on the menu icon with three horizontal lines next to the profile with which you are facing issues.

Now, click on 'Connect'.

While it is connecting, again click on the same menu icon.

Now click on 'View Logs'

This will open up the Logs window. Select all the logs and copy them. Paste it while you reply to the ticket.

 

3. How to check VPN connection logs in OpenVPN?

Right Click on the OpenVPN icon in your system tray,  at the bottom left corner of the screen and hover over the IP profile with which you are facing issues. Now, click on 'Connect' as shown.

While it is connecting, you should see the logs. Select all the logs and copy them. Paste it while you reply to the ticket. If you do not see the logs there, proceed to the next step.

Right Click on the OpenVPN icon in your system tray, at the bottom left corner of the screen and hover over the IP profile with which you are facing issues. Now, click on 'Show Status' as shown.

You should see the logs here. Select all the logs and copy them. Paste it while you reply to the ticket.
