[Fresh & Dedicated VPN] Windows - VPN Setup - SoftEther [IPBurger]
SoftEther is an open-source VPN Client. The guide here has screenshots of Windows 10 OS, however, the setup procedure is very similar in Windows 7 and 8. Here are the major steps to follow in the guide:
- Downloading and Installing SoftEther
- Downloading and Importing IP Profile
- Connecting to the VPN
Let's take a look at them.
1. Downloading and Installing SoftEther
Visit official site and fill up the form as per your OS and click on the link to download
Once downloaded, double click on the setup to install it.
Click on Next
Select 'SoftEther VPN Client'
Check mark the terms and conditions to agree them and click on Next
Again click on Next
Select the default path shown and click on Next
Click on Finish to complete the installation.
2. Downloading and Importing IP Profile
Select the IP you want to configure.
Click on the clog icon as shown.
Scroll down in the popup and select 'SoftEther'
This will download the profile. Double click on the profile to import it.
Click Yes on the pop up box.
3. Connecting to the VPN
You will see the profile imported in the software. Right click on the IP and click on Connect.
Wait till it shows 'Connected'
Autoconnnecting to IP on startup
With enabling auto connection, the software will connect to the IP every time you start your computer.
Right click on the IP and click on 'Set as startup connection'.
Test your VPN connection fully
